I'm curious how many people use a single 2400w element in their keg boiler and what they think of it? How long it takes to get a rolling boil, is it worth installing two?

Hi Voo,
Depending on your still and boiler, a 2400w element will work fine. It will be a bit slow on warm up, but will be fine when its at temp. I used one to run a 2.5" bok on a 50L keg with a 25L wash ;-)
If i was still doing it, i would probably use 2 elements for warm up.

On my keg, I have a 5500 and a 2000 on it! It takes only 30 mins. to get to temp, after that I shut off the 2000 and back down the 5500 for the run.

I'm looking for a heating element for my 50 lt keg. As the keg is sealed i need a element that screws in from the outside .
Any places where i can buy one here in Aus?
