Bring on the spirit runs :happy-partydance:
All tested and earth leakage tested.. :handgestures-thumbupleft:
1x pc fan
1x nokia charger
1x 3600w speed controller
1x volt/amp display
1x 16amp circuit breaker
+ 2 oak barrels
+ minimum 3 months
= mmmm rum

Looks the goods mate :handgestures-thumbupleft:

On a side note, use oak dominoes for the 3 month stuff. Keep your barrel for 12+ month ageing ;-)

Yeah i can for the pot. if i desolder and replace, but there is no grantee that if i replace it it wont happen again.

Ps no control only 100% power to boiler.

Yeah your right, chances are it will happen again.

Might have to go SSR type, the way I want to go is use the type that is triggered by voltage rather than resistance.

By using a PWM to regulate the voltage to the SSR.

The resistance type tend to work at one end of the pot and are not linear.

rum that controller you saw at my place worked an absolute treat. I need an addition of a fan still on my unit but even with just having the lid slightly open to air the heatsink did a great job of disipating, the box remained relatively cool. and the controller is grossly overrated for our setups at 10kw and 80a so you can upgrade your elements as much as you like. my only fear is the controller is button driven so a lot of clicking to get the % you want I think overtime that will be the weak spot. but it's plug and play so easy to replace.

The one on the right died 4 months ago, and got replaced. The one on the left was still working on the old controller but the died when i was testing :handgestures-thumbdown:
Im going to get another two completely different lcd meters from another supplyer. No idea which ones yet

Is that a plastic or metal box also is the switch inside just a circuit breaker or is it an earth leakage? I was also wondering what the approx size of that enclosure cheers

Plastic
Yes circuit breaker
About at a guess about 400 x 300 wide

The digital volt/ amp meters only fail when given a chopped wave.. Eg if you run them after the controller.
If you run it before it will give you the available volts ( will vary daily) and the amp you are drawing. ( varies with controller)
Volt * amps = watts. so ypu still know whats going on.
The units arnt designed for a chopped wave but work great wired in as designed
