It's going to have cap on top, there will be a copper grate on the inside and arm to consider from the side at top of wall. Pretty much it's going to be a 2 in 1 onion still head and gin basket

How do you get inside, is the cap clamped on? like the idea, looks like it will be a cool rig. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

CHR,
I'm awe of any build (coz I have passion fingers) so I'm watching as things unfold... perhaps you can do a couple of exposé pics or drawings so we can get 'with' your vision?!?
I have often though of having a copper 'Onion' under neath a copper Swan pot still, but that is more a visual design than a functional one!
Looking forward to seeing mor of your work!

I would go 6 or 8 inch on top hard to get arm in with 4"

Are you building this yourself? How'd you get the cone shape?

It's 14 gauge folded around and seamed and silver soldered down the back on the side you can not see.

Nice, what silver solder did you use for such a long seam?

Nice workshop :handgestures-thumbupleft: where did you get the copper sheet from? It's pretty hard to find down here...
