Not talking about the % charge of the boiler but the % of the content.
Can he not just dilute down until there is a sufficient size charge for the boiler?

With a pot still percentage in boiler has a direct effect on output. Comes a point when percent out becomes to low for ageing on wood. Ie after cuts 50% hearts not ideal for oaking same may agure but not me. So is why most spirit run at 40% low wines so hearts is mpre like 70%-75%. Add 10%water and age at 65%. Some add early tails to proof down but I dont like it taste wise or the idea of drinking the crap that is in the tails.

This is not such a big deal in a reflux where it highly refines the boiler charge where its possible to hit azeo straight from los abv wash.

Hi Jedstar, Did you run it in your turbo 500 as a reflux or as a pot still.

Glad to see you took the plunge and everything worked as it should mate.

Now you can experiment with confidence. As I said I did a 3 litre run in mine, will be doing a 2.5 litre gin run this weekend, but I won’t go any less than that or the bottom won’t be covered lol
