Ah sexy!

over supply of copper and no defined plan.. you're a lucky bugga...it's the best knowing you could go any way you choose.

For my 5 bucks worth...
The Swan Neck Pot...cos it belts out product like a turbo Nissan Skyline on full song .. see posts on rates... magic simply magic!
Done a boka..nice but slow as ..the time kills you in the end cos you loose interest and focus...it's a attention killa
Personal fave...a hybrid pot cos you get pot still rates and abv's in the 85 - 95 range...and simple and cheap and easy build and quick build and easy and cheap on gas and cos it's my love child

Or
the start of a nice Bubbler perf or bubble no matter..but you won't be drinking for 6 months...

Ah love having a free think...it revs me up!

Ya might be running a bit low on the 1in but u should have surplus of 2in and 3/4 after two builds.

500ml should be plenty. Good to have a little room in case of surge boiling or puking.

Keep it nice and short for flavor.

well finished the still with a mates oxy and it certainly come up ok, trying to do the flange with a smaller gas torch from bunnings but don't think its getting the copper hot enough or the flux is wrong :angry-banghead: should I be able to silver solder with these smaller torches? cause it aint working for me at the moment :angry-banghead:
heres picture of the still just need to finish the flange and parrot ~x(

Hey mate,

You can silver braze small joins with a small Mapp torch (not butane), larger joins can be done if you put in onto a burner for some extra heat.

You'll probably be better off getting soft solder (Aquasafe with bakers flux is good), much easier to work with.

well after juggling two fuckin gas torches to get enough heat into the copper the build is complete (SORT OF :angry-banghead: ) the only join I couldnt get enough heat for was the flange but I am hoping the flour flange with the tri clover will seal the system adequately for now. oh and the big ass 220L fermenter to keep up with the drinkin habits of us territorians! after all we do supposedly have the highest alc consumption per capita in the country :puke-huge:

gave it a good cleaning run last night after giving it some bling bling polishing, put a 50L charge on this morning and she cranks real good and them parrot beaks are the bomb! :handgestures-thumbupleft: should see plenty of rum and corn whiskey washes going through her from hear on end :handgestures-thumbupleft: thanks to all aussie distillers who have placed invaluable info on here as it would have come together without it!
