Looks cool, kinda chunky and clunky. Is that 50mm?, whats the pipe size in the condenser?

No fuck. Very good. You could have squeezed another tube or two in there but that will work just fine.
Well done :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Yeah I know but I have very primative tools and was a little afraid I would do it wrong. But for the price I paid for the copper I will build another with much more confidence :)) :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Is that 3 x 3/8 inside 2 inch? You can squeeze 3 of them into 1 inch if you're crazy enough! :teasing-neener:

equipment: Eve - 4" x 4 plate solid state bubbler (sieve plates), 330 mm packed section on a keg boiler with 2 x 2000 W elements.
Currently having a makeover: 2" x 4 plate solid state bubbler (1" bubble caps, no sight glasses...maybe not for much longer!) on a bain-marie boiler.

Well here she is!! :happy-partydance: :happy-partydance:

Shes a bit ugly and the solder not the best but first time doing a build!!

I think i might call here kembla as all the fittings have that name on it. I just need to give her a polish then cleaning run to see if all solders are tight. The shot gun is water tight so i'm 1/2 way there :D :D :D :D

Nice clean build...will serve you well.

Most folk would say a thermo not required on a pot and to be honest that's the way I run mine. But good info always assists.

The parrot is the key to a pot...you'll learn to read it well...a skill missed by some on other designs.

wd

let's hear some tales of first strip, run.

enjoy!

Nice build mate, it has a mechanical look to it...as suggestion if I may for your next build or even this build place your inlet and outlet water on the downstream orientation. how you have done yours will work but it may have tendency to kink your hoses.

Yeah I know I thought of that but I run hoses to the roof with a hook so I make sure that the hoses arent near my burner as I run gas :D
Thanks for theadvice though and thanks to everyone for all your helpfull advice in the past few weeks :handgestures-thumbupleft: :handgestures-thumbupleft: ^:)^ ^:)^

Nice job Mate .

If you have a thermo, drill a hole and stick it in .I have one on my Pot still which I use as a stripper .Like the other guys say, it probably isn't much use when it comes to distilling as such but I find it useful just to let me know how quickly the boiler is going and when to start paying attention .Its also a good learning tool .It helps sort out in your mind the relationship between boil temps and output ABVs .All the theory is good but seeing is believing .

And also ..touch and feel ..this also helps with the correlation of temps and ABV ..and smell the output ...way before you get anywhere near drops coming out the end ,you will smell things you never expected

Yep! I remember the first time I ran my still and being real concerned about the fores smell coming out of it right before I started collecting. Haha.
