First TPW & Turbo wash Runs

Postby Lplater » Thu Apr 10, 2014 1:53 pm

Well finally the day has arrived. I will be running my first ever 25L TPW wash through very shortly and the supplied Turbo wash that came with kit tomorrow.
Ive got my copper pieces to put in airstill (as per Frank's advice in on of the posts) and have all my sterilised jars marked and ready for cuts. My 19 & 16 yr olds love how excited I get when talking about the whole process.
Wish me luck everyone and I will update on how it all goes when Im done.....unless I need help before then
Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this site as it certainly helps 110% for us newbies.

Good luck

Quick question are you going to strip all the turbo then do one spirit run?

Yep plan on doing a stripping run for both washes then do the spirit run with cuts. Because Im new to it all and want to experience things for my own benefit, I plan on doing the turbo stripped, then spirit run then carbon filter the hearts and with the TPW I will strip then do spirits and then depending on TPW quantity I may put half through the carbon filter and half not, just so I can taste/smell the differences. Does that all sound OK to do?
