New Pot

The new pot heating for a vinegar cleaning run. Made use of a boiler that otherwise was just sitting there doing nothing.

Cleaning run finished. Now heating up for Sac run with abit 5L of water and 5 full jars of rum tails. Gave it a really good wash out with water after the vinegar, see how it runs with tails.
Oh and the vinegar was coming off at 21 degC, so Liebig works fine.

Looking good mate :handgestures-thumbupleft:

She should do the job for ya. Best thing about pots is there nice and simple as long as the condenser does the job your right, and it sounds like you've got that sorted.

Good luck with it and enjoy.

Btw what sort of boiler are you using and how big is it.

Thanks guys, and Mac I'm trying to give them up but the missus is still smoking and it makes it harder.
There is a slight hiss sound from the end of the condenser. Normal or not? My last pot had a shotgun and didn't make a noise.

Liebigs are renowned for that huffing sound, a little scrubber loosely shoved up it should minimise it if it's bothering you, personally I never worried about it ;-)

Thanks Mac, just wanted to make sure. If it's never bothered you then I can't see why it would be a bother to me. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Woodduck, it's my old SD one. Converted it to tri clamp. And it's the older one so it's 30L. I checked that with a 10L bucket and water ages ago. Couldn't tell you what size element but at a guess if say it's probably 2000w ish and no control. Just have to double and triple distill.
