Stripping vs Spririt Runs

Postby Roger » Fri Jan 23, 2015 5:14 pm

Hiya,
New to pot stills after my shop bought T500. Scored a 2" pot still and recently did some stripping runs before I put it through the T500. My question is - how do I change my stripping run to a spirit run? Interested in some grain mashes but not sure how to change from a stripping run to a spirit run? I only have my T500 boiler. Am I missing something?

Get a power controller and cut the power back to 1400 w this will slow it down so u get less smearing and a nicer spirit

As Benpandaae86 has stated you need a voltage controller to control the output of your still (slow it down).

I think most people on this site run at 2-3lt a hour for a spirit run with a pot.
