recommened output speed vs element watt

Postby benpandaae86 » Sat Jan 31, 2015 11:58 am

Im gonna run my pot tonight with my macwhiskey 50l wash but last time a ran i ran on one side of my element i have a mac 3600 w element that my sparky setup as 2 1800w elements last time i ran just one element but thought i had some smearing is there a recommened watt for element or out put speed for a 2 inch pot

I cant remember mu output speed of the last single element run

But i know it strips at 5l a hr

I had a voltage controller built for a mate with t500 and pot attachment and we set the controller up for flat out and 1380w which is the standard boiler watt for spirit runs

Its a pot. uses you sensors, if you are smearing back it down
thin pencil lead like stream for spirit runs.
Take off rate will vary with product and desired flavour profile.

I get a toothpick sized stream by runnin just one element so ill do that again i have a power controller is there any main advantage to slowing it down will it compress heads more or that wont change in a pot

I assume you're talking about the spirit run? As the wash, you would just run flat out.

A 2inch pot is quite slow, and you will most likely need to slow it down if you notice smearing. And yeah, the slower you run, you'll notice that the fractions are separated better (not necessarily compressed though...)...
