You may be an expert and I a beginner, what you say in "The correct way" is a load of crap !.

Respectfully Yours,

equipment: I am new to this, I am 70 year old age pensioner and needed something to do. I have a 35 litre Digiboil, inserted 6 inch glass chamber, on top of that a T500 reflux head. Also have a alchohead reflux head current not using. I have tried the Turbo system and don't like the taste, now experimenting with raw sugar and brewers yeast. Any help is much appreciated Gentlemen.

Just for the record cookey, it is ok to disagree with someone, but it is not ok to show that level of disrespect, that is not how this forum works mate.

How about you drop into the welcome centre and give a bit of an introduction and tell everyone what you are hoping to make.

Well have just finished all 12 pages of this bible.
It's sounds like I am VERY lucky as I ran my T500 as a pot still on the 2nd run with no packing and it got hot, but no leaks from my last run :D
Copper pipe for the collecting tube is being bought soon.

I do have a S/S alembic dome and condenser now as well, missed out on a copperhead reflux top recently :angry-banghead: will keep looking or I may build one.
I have run 2 turbo washes then found this site and have run 1 TPW with a second wash almost ready to run.
From reading this It sounds like a power controller should be on my shopping list so I can turn the power down once boiling, My water is low pressure so may not be running fast enough to cool properly., but am considering a 200ltr drum that I can recirculate the water thru with frozen drink bottles added to cool the water.
Cheers for al the information I have found here.
