If you are trying for a neutral spirit, and only have a potstill- have you tried adding Sodium Bicarbonate (Natriumbicarbonat) to the low wines?
(The low % alcohol after the 1st distillation).
adding about 15ml of the bicarbonate powder to each liter of low wines, and letting it react for a week, will help break down flavor esters in the alcohol, making it more neutral.
how much was the 10L model to ship to Germany? Ive' been wanting one of those, too! (I live in the north, too!)
