Perth Molasses Suppliers

Hi fellow rum drinkers,

Where do you get your molasses from in Perth? Preferably SOR but I can travel. Use to get mine from Mircobro's but they are no more.

I know it's the wrong time of year but I've been on a bit of a hiatus for a few years, Only just getting back into it and have just under 30L of low wines sitting in my stripping keg. Don't have enough gear to do anything else till I get one more run in and do a spirit run.

Looking forward to trying out this Angel yeast and getting into AG, but stuck on rum atm!

Good to see ya back bob. I am on opposite side country but just discovered my mitre10 is doing home brew.
They sell 10l containers fancy molasses may get you put of a pinch if they do it over there?!?

I didn't know Mitre10 was still around. Turns out Perth still has a handful. Cheers, might even check out LBS for the Bundy food grade stuff.

Was hoping to get some blackstrap but beggars can't be choosers as they say.

Most feed stores sell blackstrap molasses here but I dont know about WA...

Both feed stores in Kalgoorlie sell molly and decan from a 1000L bulky of the stuff I cant see Perth being any different, you may have to take your own 20L container. They do usually have packaged molly 4kg lots but of course its more expensive to buy to small packaged versions. I have found the feed stores are well away of the moonshiners, when ever I go and get my 20L they ask, "so what's this for?" I say "home made rum" and the reply was " Yeah we get you guys buying this from us all the time." :text-lol:

TWOC in bibralake had the plastic bundaberg cubes of molasses. Not sure if they had any others as i am still an essence baby i this hobby

used to be $40 about 2 years ago

last time i looked, Petstock Bio John in belmont sold molasses from an IBU in the yard.
i don't know what grade it is, i asked once but they couldn't tell me the specs.
