Another thing you might have to take into consideration is the vapour downcomer (?) in the middle of the thumper (if you are building it that way)
So (5L/1000) = (pi*(r[radius of outer thumper]^2 )*h - (pi*(r[radius of downcomer]^2)*h
Where h is the variable you are after. So just plug the numbers in and you will end up with 0.005 = VALUE*h then divide 0.005 by the VALUE and you have your height in meters of the thumper to hold 5L whilst considering the volume taken up by the downcomer thingy
Wont be much of a size diff
